Fostering or adopting is an opportunity to make a difference in the life of a child, and help the young people in our community.

Foster parents provide a stable and supportive home for children who need a temporary place to live. Adoptive parents provide a permanent home for a child who is unable to live with their birth family.

While CAS does everything possible to keep children with their own families, some families cannot provide a safe home or adequate care.

When children need a stable, loving home, CAS reaches out to the community for foster and adoptive families.

How CAS Helps

CAS helps individuals become foster or adoptive parents by:

• Providing assessment, training and support for foster parents
• Helping families understand the adoption process and navigate the steps
• Helping adopted adults and birth parents find information, copies of documentation and, where desired, each other
