The Children's Aid Society of London & Middlesex

Last year during the Christmas Holiday Season, the Children’s Aid Society distributed gifts to over 2,150 children and youth, and food vouchers to over 400 families, in London and Middlesex. For some this might sound cliché, but it is very true, when we report… This year the need is even greater!

 “With the high level of unemployment in the London area at this time, even more families are dependent on our help,” says Julies Janes, Supervisor of Volunteer Services for the Children’s Aid Society. “Our immediate need is for gift cards for our teens and donations to purchase food vouchers for our families,” she explains.

Brenda (not her real name) was the recipient of a food voucher for herself and her 4 children last year.

“I couldn’t afford to give my kids a Christmas dinner, so the assistance from Children’s Aid made a huge difference in our celebration,” stated Brenda. “Whatever help is given is appreciated – more than people know.”

There are many families like Brenda’s in our community who need assistance at this time of year, and every donation makes a difference… more than people know!
