Annual Holiday Giving

How does the Annual Holiday Giving Program help children and youth?

This program shares the joy of the season with those served by our agency currently and not in care.  In 2019 the program served nearly 1,100 children and youth and 500 families thanks to the generosity of our community. This page outlines the program and ways you can contribute.

How are gifts distributed?
A Holiday Toy Room is set-up by staff and volunteers at our agency in the third week of December to provide a magical shopping experience for parents, grandparents and kin who have children and youth receiving services from us currently, although not in care. Family members “shop” for unwrapped gifts, which is why we request donations by mid-December preferred.

What do children and youth receive?
They receive new gifts including one large toy or item, one smaller toy or item, a book, a pair of pajamas (sizes infant to adult XXL) and a family board game. We will post our Wish List here in fall 2020 to help you with suggestions.

Can my gift be picked up?
More information about arranged pick up of gift will be added in fall 2020.

Can gifts be dropped off?
Yes. Bring items to our head office, 1680 Oxford Street East (just east of Fanshawe College) between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm by mid-December to ensure distribution. For large donations, please use our loading dock marked Shipping/Receiving.

Can gifts be shipping to CAS directly?
