CASLM volunteers are special people who offer their time, energy, and skills in many different ways to contribute to our mandate and the children, youth and families we serve. They include students, working people and retirees.
They come from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, and religious groups. We strive to match volunteer assignments to the skills, interests and available time of each volunteer.

FRIENDLY VISITORS: Spend individual time with a child or family to share mutual interests and provide companionship.

HOMEWORK HELPERS: Help children with difficulties in various school subject areas in a one-to-one setting where extra attention may be required.

DRIVERS: Provide transportation, using their own vehicles, for children and adults to and from various appointments; family visits, day care, school and other outings and events (drivers are reimbursed for mileage).

CHILD MINDING VOLUNTEERS: Help with childcare while parents participate in group meetings, training programs and special projects.

SPECIAL EVENTS VOLUNTEERS: Assist with the Holiday Campaign and other special events.

SPECIAL REQUEST VOLUNTEERS: Offer specialized supports or services to a child/youth or parent.

NOTE: IN SCHOOL MENTORING: This is a partnership between Big Brothers Big Sisters of London and Area (BBBSLA) and the Children’s Aid Society of London & Middlesex. Please inquire through BBBSLA directly.
